My only nitpick is that there is no diffuser in front of the LED. Don't look down the barrel when it's lit, lol.
Dude, you and me have a very different philosophy, I am going to keep pushing the brightness until I accidentally make a real blaster.
It really is on purpose though, I even have a mylary brightness booster in it, it throws an awesome wide pattern. When my girl is on stage with this in a costume contest, she can blast out at the crowd and it will look awesome, should help with scoring.

I did this blaster build for my wife's Mara Jade costume.
I started with a nerf zombie strike blaster and completely disassembled and repainted each part. I sanded off all logos, and used filling compound where necessary. I purposely left the screw holes unfilled in case I want to change the fonts or preform maintenance. I do want to replace the standard screws with surface mount 6-32 button heads.
I did a tri tone finish, I have gun metal accents, silver trigger and recharge port, and the rest of the blaster was painted black, then dry brushed silver.
Next, I gutted the internals to make room for a soundboard, LED, and battery.
I used a spark soundboard with some creative wiring.
I wired the trigger to the auxiliary switch tabs, pressing it plays the blaster or stun sound depending on which font is active, and holding it down makes the empty/jam sound.
I wired a momentary switch to the clash sensor tabs, and pressing that switch plays a reload sound.
I wired the primary switch tabs to the primary switch, it turns the blaster on and off.
Each font has a blast color, font one plays blast sounds and has a 6w RED, font two plays stun sounds and has a 6w BLUE.
I have the swing sensitivity set as high as possible, swinging the blaster very fast, like your swinging it up onto target, plays a target acquired sound.

The price for the new Monarch will be the same as the old version, Initiate (empty) 299.00, Warrior (stunt) 349.00, Champion (Neutrino+Recharge) 499.00, Hero (Spark+Recharge) 649.00
As far as the names go, I prefer to use the automotive industries naming strategy, create brand recognition with a model name *mustang for example* then release a better version of it every year. It saves time, not having to come up with a new name every time I revise a style, and it provides continuity and a way to track progress and improvements.

Hey guys, here is my latest update to an old favorite, my crystal monarch.
This hilt has gone through a full redesign and features an array of improvements, including a stationary crystal chamber.
It's hard to miss the inspiration for this design, it is a tribute design to the TFU1 saber, with an SF spin.
It features CNC machined parts, a black and silver color scheme, a real quarts crystal, and a sturdy duel worthy design (crystal chamber parts are not warrantied for dueling, one direct hit and they will break).
Enough talk, here are the pictures and video, this particular saber is showcasing a weathered finish, an NS 3.0 soundboard, and an Amber 6w X2 LED with matching accent LED for the crystal chamber.

The Guardian is the newest addition to the SF lineup, it features a CNC machined 6061 anodized black body, a nickel plated shroud, and an anodized black covertech knob.
It has a premium soundboard installed, which features two different sound fonts, with unique sound effects that can be customized via a removable sd card. It has flash on clash, blade shimmer, blade flicker, blade lock up, blaster bolt deflect, and MANY more features, and did I mention it's LOUD.
It has a BRIGHT 10/12w X2 DUAL color LED. You can chose the following blade colors, green, blue, cyan, red, orange, white. The demo saber is showcasing green and red.
It comes with an internal recharge upgrade, with smart charger, and kill key, you don't have to worry about changing batteries on this hero level prop.
A 36" internally diffused infinity edge blade is included, and this saber IS rated for full speed, full contact dueling, and comes with an industry leading 1 year warranty.
This is the most affordable accurate grip QGJ style saber to ever be released, this fully loaded version 499.00, but a simpler single font, single blade color version is 349.00, a stunt dueling saber is just 199.00, and if you are a DIYer, an empty hilt is only 149.00
I have less than 80 hilts remaining from this run, and they will go FAST.
jaltrooper: Hey guys! Dumb question...but are there any t-shirts available, or any other swag I can buy to support the Page?

ARKM: We have challenge coins. Contact Luke Skywalker if you want one.
Sept 23, 2017 13:50:47 GMT -5
Luke Skywalker: We never did any swag. There's never enough interest to even break even. My sponsor coin run was a huge success and helped us pay the bills well into 2018 and even gave us the money to fund a couple of one time costs we incurred this year.

Luke Skywalker: As for shirts. I really need to get one for me as well. I've been wanting one with our new logo since we changed over. My desire has always been that this is a site for the members. I consider you all my friends and have no desire to make a profit from

ARKM: Luke Skywalker, hit me up if you want the image I used for the front of my shirt.

Luke Skywalker: Site. I never intend to charge selling fees. The coin drive was a much better way to go imho. As for our logo, name and copywriter and TM's go. I have no issue with anyone wanting to use them. I ask two things. Please let me know prior. If it's crude

Luke Skywalker: and vulgar and casts us in a bad light I simply won't approve it. The other thing I think would be nice is that if our name is used on things like t-shirts that you do make a small donation to help support the site.

Luke Skywalker: My recommendation, and the place I will definitely go when I want to have a shirt done is TRA member defcon. Al's work is outstanding. Al is the Solo's Hold of saber bags and other fabric items. I've had him make me a couple of shirts and several

Luke Skywalker: saber bags. His merchandise is perfection.
Sept 23, 2017 16:29:32 GMT -5
Luke Skywalker: I think I'm down to about 8 coins.
Sept 23, 2017 16:30:26 GMT -5
Luke Skywalker: ARKM what image did you use? Was it the one with SVD's glowing eyes? I'm really curious to see how our logo looks on a shirt. Defcon would certainly need to use the flattened simpler version. For a detailed logo I think you'd need it silk screened.
