I personally would love to see the Nerfworx team tackle these. The Darth Alice ones at $5600 were out of my price range at the time. I would've loved to have had them but some other things had to come first.
But still even if I'd had gotten those I'd buy ones machined by Aaron any day. Everything I've seen from Solos Hold is top notch. Accurate to size and every detail. I've yet to see a team of guys that can top them on thier hilts.
They have a lot going on but I hope they take this on in the future and it would be incredible if they'd do a true to form Kylo Ren.
Actually Aaron did give me a hand in designing the current ones that I have built...a few talks over lunch and coffee,(he lives 30 min. down the street) on the best method for bending the oval pipe. So yes, you can say there was a bit of collaboration between the 2 smiths, Also some of the parts were CNC machined by Solo's hold from my prints

Thanks Luke! That is one that I have been dreaming for awhile, and had Ryan Lanon approach me asking if I could provide him with a blank to etch, I am pleased with the results and will use the finish as another option for other builds
I didn't realize the wood bit was the kill switch -- I presumed it was the activation button. So... where's the activation button? It looks like you're doing something with your index finger, but I can't see what you're pushing?
If you look at the 2nd pic in the post, you can see 2 small brass hats on the lower part of the hilt
This is a saber that I built in overtime, to see what a fully etched V5 Katana would look like, and to offer it as another option for final finish as opposed to full leather wrapping or Ito on Katana, Kota or curved hilts. I have to thank Ryan Lanon from Ronin Custom Armory for the great work with the acid etching. The image is one that Giger had drawn in black and white, which I believe is the original Bio-mech influence as used for the Alien. Specs: 13" overall length x 1.00 x 1.50" oval tube. Blade pocket: 1.00" 1.75" Etching: Ronin Custom Armory, by Ryan Lanon. Powdercoating: M&M Powdercoat of Waterford Chassis: GOTH3designs with added 8 segment bargraph module, under cast acrylic window Board: Igniter2-R2 by Naigon Electronics Battery: Keeppower 18650, 3400Mah, 10 amp High discharge Speaker: 23mm JDC Wiring: 28-30, and 32AWG Milspec. PTFE Thank you all once again for looking, and MTFBWYA!
And a couple pix with an Ahsoka for size comparison

Thanks guys I managed to build that one inside of a week during early last December. I have been getting alot of requests on these and have a few CAD files in the works for a potential run this year (the prototype is in process), as I keep coming back to this hilt in hopes of making it as accurate to video game and concept art shots.

Thanks again guys, I had a hard time deciding on colors as I kept coming back to metallic powdercoats. The 1st 2 sets were a light sivler grey with brass accent parts, and polished emitters with transparent brass powdercoat. After studying Disney's official color chart, I made changes and made the greeblies on the shoto closer with copper pieces

A 10/10 for Shadycanuck, as I met him and and his Wife for lunch a few months ago, and hooked me up with a set of 7/8" heavy grade blades that happened to work well with the 7/8" emitter Ahsokas for Glam pix.
To Mr Darth Alice. As you might be aware the internet is experiencing a mild melt down with the impending release of the KR and VV versions and the inherent debate about which is better. In lieu of being able to have a Darth Alice set I intend to pick up either KR or VV. I had written KR off as looking too big but now they have released what seem like reasonable size measurements.
I was wondering as a bench mark if you could give size measurements of yours? A frame of reference if you will that I can compare the other two against.
Good morning, and thank you for the inquiry, as mentioned above, the main tubes are from the same stock I use on my V5 Katanas, which is 1" x 1-1/2" OD with 1/8" side wall. The main is right at 14" in length, with the shoto being 9.5" . The blade pockets use the same emitter as my Katanas though cut down to accommodate the ball socket, which gives you a 1' deep blade pocket with 6/32" retention screw. I have made both size emitters with 2 of the current 7 sets having 7/8" emitters

Gorgeous! Sent you a PM a few days ago. Definitely put me on your list whenever there is availability. Love these sabers!
Thank you for the PM, I have been getting many PM's and emails regarding these sabers and I am doing my best to make them more available (I still have a few more sets to finish, and with all of the interest wish I had more time to devote just to this style of saber) with some luck (and maybe the Force ) on my side an actual announced run may happen
After much time in the shop and dealing with a couple of outside vendors, I am proud to present set numbers 3 and 4 of the curved Rebel hilts similar to the previous versions. When I first built a set of these I never thought they would be so sought after! Currently I have blue printed these sabers and am working on CAD designs for a possible future run that will be announced (the shop gets bombarded daily with requests, and thank you to my Clients as these have taken longer to produce than initially estimated.) Thank you all again for the support and MTFBWYA!

jaltrooper: Hey guys! Dumb question...but are there any t-shirts available, or any other swag I can buy to support the Page?
Sept 23, 2017 8:52:58 GMT -5
ARKM: We have challenge coins. Contact Luke Skywalker if you want one.
Sept 23, 2017 13:50:47 GMT -5
Luke Skywalker: We never did any swag. There's never enough interest to even break even. My sponsor coin run was a huge success and helped us pay the bills well into 2018 and even gave us the money to fund a couple of one time costs we incurred this year.
Sept 23, 2017 16:23:33 GMT -5
Luke Skywalker: As for shirts. I really need to get one for me as well. I've been wanting one with our new logo since we changed over. My desire has always been that this is a site for the members. I consider you all my friends and have no desire to make a profit from
Sept 23, 2017 16:24:51 GMT -5
ARKM: Luke Skywalker, hit me up if you want the image I used for the front of my shirt.
Sept 23, 2017 16:25:38 GMT -5
Luke Skywalker: Site. I never intend to charge selling fees. The coin drive was a much better way to go imho. As for our logo, name and copywriter and TM's go. I have no issue with anyone wanting to use them. I ask two things. Please let me know prior. If it's crude

Luke Skywalker: and vulgar and casts us in a bad light I simply won't approve it. The other thing I think would be nice is that if our name is used on things like t-shirts that you do make a small donation to help support the site.
Sept 23, 2017 16:27:29 GMT -5
Luke Skywalker: My recommendation, and the place I will definitely go when I want to have a shirt done is TRA member defcon. Al's work is outstanding. Al is the Solo's Hold of saber bags and other fabric items. I've had him make me a couple of shirts and several

Luke Skywalker: saber bags. His merchandise is perfection.
Sept 23, 2017 16:29:32 GMT -5
Luke Skywalker: I think I'm down to about 8 coins.
Sept 23, 2017 16:30:26 GMT -5
Luke Skywalker: ARKM what image did you use? Was it the one with SVD's glowing eyes? I'm really curious to see how our logo looks on a shirt. Defcon would certainly need to use the flattened simpler version. For a detailed logo I think you'd need it silk screened.
